And my name is Matt.

We are two ministers and two buddies who love the stories of the Bible,

and we want to tell you about them and today is a very merry

episode because we're going to examine the story of Christmas in the book of

Matthew chapter one. That's right. Matt, I don't know if you knew that this story is about a certain person,

but this certain person is a man by the name of Jesus who is also God. Okay and so we're going to talk about

his birth, Matthew 1. So with that being said, would you mind reading the scriptures to Matthew one?

The Book of the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his

brothers, and Judah the father of Perez, and Zara by Tamar and Peres the father of Hesron, and Hesron the father of Ram, and Ram the father of a Nimondab, and Aminidab, the father of Nation, and Nation the father of Salmon, and

Salmon the father of Boas by rehab, and Boas the father of Obed by Ruth, and

Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of David the King.

And David was the father of Solomon by the wife of Uriah, and Solomon the father of Rehabeam, and Rehibouam the father of Abbeyja, and Abaisea the father of Asath, and Asath the father of Jehousifat, and Jehofat the father of Joram, Joram the father of Yousiah and Jusiah the father of Jotham and Jothan the father of Aha's and Aha has the father of Hezakiah.
