All right, so before we start this week's episode, we're recording a little bit in advance

because of some travel that I've got coming up.

And as of when we're recording this, a few days ago, we found out something really terrible.

Jason Seifer, who was a co-host of IRL Talk and Geek Friday, among many other things, but I think

that was maybe what he was best known for, maybe for some listeners of this show.

Jason was actually a previous guest on an episode of Analog.

We did a crossover with their show.

Unfortunately, Jason passed away in a boating accident. This was a shock to all of us.

It happened on the 1st of April, and we just wanted to spend a couple of minutes or so before we

start the show for real this week, talking about that, mostly because I think think I know this hit Casey really hard.

And it hit me, of course, as well.

I know you were closer to Jason than me,

but he was somebody that I considered a friend.

We've spoken a few times as well.

You know, we've spoken personally.

We've spoken on some shows.

And he was a genuinely just super nice man.

And I know that you two had spoke more often.

And I know that we wanted to just spend a few minutes talking about that before we start today.

Yeah.

Yeah, I'm already getting a little choked up.

I know. I woke up, as we record this. It was yesterday morning and somebody, I don't have their name handy, it tweeted at me something to the effect of, oh my God, oh no.
