This week we're going to be talking about a dynamic that I hear a lot about, this idea of

0:15.8

if you're a powerful, successful woman and you intimidate men, How do you find a relationship, a woman who's

confident in herself, et cetera, et cetera? And I thought, yeah, I hear this all the time. So I brought on a good

0:28.6

friend of mine who just wrote a book recently on that, who of course certainly is a powerful

1:13.7

I can't speak to Europe and other parts of the world.

1:16.7

But, you know, as divorce became something that people were actually allowed to do,

1:22.3

that's fucking weird that it wasn't allowed.

1:24.3

You know what I mean?

1:25.2

And like in Canada, you had to get approval from a

1:28.7

provincial body to get divorced before 1967. Then you needed to be separated for three years. And then in

1:34.7

1986, they changed the divorce act that you only needed to be separated for a year. So you saw

1:39.7

massive increases in divorce in those times. But what's interesting is that when we look

1:44.9

relationally, the dynamics that have occurred, you know, it's we watched women not have
