I think like a lot of us I was living with a concrete wall between my head and my body like

perverbially speaking and most of us I think only pay attention to what's happening in our body if something's wrong, or when the wheels fall off the wagon, like when we get really sick, and we get told that, right?

We get told that by our health care system and our culture,

go, go, go, until something breaks.

Yet the body has this incredible wisdom and knowledge

for us.

It's telling us things that are very useful and valuable

all the time if we listen, but I had never learned how to listen.

And so yoga for me, you know, I hadn't grown up in a culture that also prioritized any sort of

spirituality. I'd never really done yoga, maybe like once or twice,

but it was just not something that I was exposed to.

And I thought, you know, my first couple of yoga classes in New York,

I thought it was like super strange,

but I also noticed that I felt completely different, not just physically after a yoga class,

but mentally and emotionally as well. And so that was my kind of big aha lay ball moment for myself that we have this power to create a state change for ourselves every day in some capacity maybe not all the way but in some capacity and I found that and then that sent me on this journey into
