when the Guadalupe River, swollen by a summer's worth of rain, and just a few hours, rose

tributaries of it that sustained damage. Worse hit was a non-denominational Christian girls

camp, Camp Mystic, where the south fork of the river meets a creek and their floodwaters

converged. 27 campers and counselors are known to have died.

A counselor and 10 campers are still unaccounted for.
