You're listening to The Beautiful Must Podcast. This week Laura is sitting in for Emma and

0:11.3

we're chatting about the hot debate on whether or not it's worth your time and money to

0:15.4

do a phase one makeover. This is something that gets debated in our comments section

0:20.4

often and we're excited to break it down with you today.

0:23.0

Okay, welcome Laura. Thanks for having me.

0:26.0

Thank you for sitting in for Emma and if you guys haven't heard Emma is off on maternity

0:33.1

leave so she will be back in September and I love this subject matter that we're covering

0:40.7

today because this is like have you seen these comments go wild before?

gonna remodel like this kitchen down the road in a couple years but right now I don't

like how it looks but I don't want to remodel it like I don't want to waste too much money

1:16.7

1:22.9

family and more like a happy place for me to live in for two years. So for me for my

1:29.4

example we moved into like a nice very nice but very boring 90s kitchen very plain and what

1:37.2

we did was we covered over there was like a mirror backsplash which is not a good backsplash

1:43.0

material in my opinion anyway but it was also like a dark black mirror it was really just not my

1:48.8

thing so we covered over that with some stick on tile and I quote unquote wasted like 200 dollars

1:54.9

on Etsy for that and then I did a faux marble countertop which is like a very hot debate I actually

2:03.6

like loved the comments yeah the comments were like very hot and cold so I used this kit I will

2:11.5

link it in the show notes and I will also link the blog post about each of these projects but
