Hey, welcome to the screenwriting life. I'm Meg Lafour. And I'm L'Orian McKenna.

We are professional screenwriters. We've worked together as a team and separately. We've worked

on studio and indie films, live action, and animation, from my work on Inside Out and

Captain Marvel. To my work in Pixar Story Department on Up, Brave, and Inside Out.

We are here to share our insights on the craft of screenwriting and also the lights,

had to not only survive the ups and downs, but thrive.

We want to help you become the best screenwriter you can be

and to reassure you that you are not alone on this journey.

Hey TSL family, just a couple of housekeeping announcements before we dive into the show. The first is that I'm kind of going up a day late and I ask for

your continued grace as just like navigating travel and recording and producing remotely, which is something

I'm usually not doing. So thanks for your patience. We are going to do our best to beginning the show out

weekly and as high quality is possible while I'm kind of

slammed, gratefully slammed by all the busyness surrounding my film always Lola. I'm

connected to that. Two very exciting festival announcements dropped this week. One is that we are playing the Boston

Film Festival on Saturday, September 24th. The ticket link for that should be up

very soon. We're playing in the evening at 915 at the Boston Commons.

So it's a very exciting screening.

The second is the Heartland Film Festival,

which is in Indianapolis.

So for any of our Midwest listeners, I'd love to have you there. You can follow all of the information you need to know on
