All around the symbols and remnants of worship were a constant sight.

Like many Cretans, the priestess conducted her rituals at a sanctuary built on a mountain peak,

difficult to reach, exposed to the elements, and with an unparalleled view of the land and sea, the mountain sanctuary was the perfect

place to experience the wonder of nature and connect with the high power of the divine.
