Welcome to the perfume room. I am skin testing two fragrances today, one on each wrist. On my left wrist, I am wearing gambling from the house of Oud, and it's a sort of green, balsamic, boozy, leathery scent. What it actually smells like to me is Galbanum, Elimee, tobacco, and some leather accords. There's like this sweet, slightly cloying, but not bothersome smell in a way that I find tobacco often feels in fragrance. Now, for people who've been in Smell Club, imagine that sort of warm green feel of

something like Headspace Absinth, but mix it with the boozy golden warmth of something like

strangers cigar rum. Gambling is different from either of these, but it falls somewhere in

between, probably closer to cigar rum to my nose. Now, on my right wrist, oh my God, she has

found a new Pissy Rose to love. And if you are new here, pissy is a good thing. When I say pissy, I'm usually referring to some sort of patchulie, olabanim, or cassis note that just adds a little bit of spice to whatever otherwise floral, angelic bouquet I am smelling. And today's pissy rose is the newest scent from Tza, Rosarin. Oh my God, I love. It is the

jammiest rose mixed with a green, just pissy enough patchouli with some ores and cacao in the heart

to give some warm body and depth. And you know what? It just works. Jammy, pissy, a tad soapy even,

I love it. If you like fragrances like Dipique O Capital, Frederick Mile Portrait of the Lady,

Santa Maria Rosa Novella, this is an exciting jammy warm take on the iconic fragrance duo

that is Rose and Pichuli.
