Summary
Today’s guest is someone I’ve been wanting to talk with for years! She is hilarious… She is an award-winning comedian, actor and musician, Sandra Bernhard. Described as a “living, breathing bonfire” and “a super smart and slightly mad performer of stunning originality”, she began her career at L.A.’s famed Comedy Store in the ‘70s, and since then has written and starred in numerous one-woman shows, acted in movies and on television, recorded albums and authored books. She appeared more than 30 times on Late Night with David Letterman. She is probably best known for her roles as Nancy, the gay co-owner of the Lanford Lunch Box on Roseann She has a live show at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on May 1st and at the Capitol Theater in Olympia, WA on May 2nd. Also, her 5 episodes guest-starring on the CBS Television series Two Broke Girls. Her first episode airs on March 30th, the second on April 13th, followed by three more. During our time together we learn: · How growing up in Flint, Michigan in the 1960s shaped her views on mone · Living below your means in an industry that pressures you to spend extravagantly · How she teaches her 16 year old daughter the value of money.
