0:05.2

and maximizes their use in the present.

0:18.5

So if I can fix the insulin resistance, the elevated insulin levels, then my fat cells won't accumulate excess fat every day. They'll be tempted to mobilize the fat they have. They'll engage in unfettered liposis.

Welcome back to the Melanie Avalon Biohacking podcast. Friends, I know I always say that I am excited about the episodes, which I am, but I am so

1:14.0

excited about today's episode. Oh my goodness. I was also so, so nervous about this episode.

1:22.0

I've been a follower of Gary Taubbs for so long. Honestly, reading good calories, bad calories was one of the

1:29.6

first major works that really initiated me into the whole diet health sphere. I'm just in awe of his work.

1:37.5

And to have a conversation with him was so surreal. And then on top of that, I get really,

1:42.1

really nervous interviewing journalists because what they do is ask

1:46.0

questions. So they know if I'm asking stupid questions. All prepping for it, all I could think was,

1:52.2

oh, I just hope I ask decent questions. Because if I don't, he will know. But in any case, the

1:59.6

conversation was incredible. I am so grateful for Gary's

2:02.9

work. It was so amazing to engage with him about this topic. And I really, really think you guys

2:07.9

will enjoy this episode. The show notes for today's episode will be at Melanieavalon.com

2:12.8

slash keto. Those show notes will have a complete transcript, so definitely check that out.
