A Bible was found open to this page in the living room of the house at 2121 Garcin Street

in Troy, Michigan on September 29, 1964.

The southwest end of the city of Troy borders both Birmingham and Royal Oak, and wedged

between Kool-Aid Chaiway and Oakland County's Tri Airport is a Meier store.

Meier is a Michigan-based chain very similar to Walmart, and this location of Meier opened

in the mid-1970s.

In those dark days, it was called Meier's Thrifty Acres.

Today, as you head north on Kool-Aid, likely on your way to Somerset Mall, or the Somerset

Collection, as it's now known, you probably won't notice the little cemetery on Kool-Aid.

It's set back from the road, a small, fenced-in rectangle, just in front of and slightly

north of the Meier store.
