Yeah, a hundred episodes. The official two-year birthday is actually next week and I'm going to do like a whole thing. There'll be a big giveaway and a bonus episode, but I thought I'd just take a minute just to say that hey

look we've entered triple digit territory and it didn't happen overnight I didn't

start a podcast one day and suddenly it's a hundred episodes full of

interviews and content and a bunch of Instagram followers. It happened one episode at

a time, just like recovery and I'm going to focus more on this next week when we

officially celebrate the birthday of the pod, but I wanted to plant this seed in

your head in the meantime and hope that you can see the significance in your

everyday sober accomplishments that sometimes feel boring and unimportant,

they add up to something.

Today's interview is going to be a first because we've got a story of recovery that involves medication as a major component and in this case it's an abuse.

Medication assisted treatment or MAT as it's usually shortened is when you use a medication to help you stay

abstinence from alcohol.

With alcohol abuse you'll most often hear of two different kinds of medication,

Dysulfurum or now truck zone.

If you take Dysulfurum, and I'm maybe butchering that,

if you take that, it's often called An Abuse,

that's the brand name. If you take it you get sick if you try to drink alcohol
