I know I do this a lot at the moment, but I will need your help in deciding when we

step away from covering it live. I'm not sure it's d'urigur, but we're living in such

fascinating and difficult political times that Theo and I are of the view that it is, and of course

Eva, the producer of the programme. We are of the view that for the time being at least, it would

be remiss not to focus properly upon what unfold.

So that will be with us at 12.

We will catch up with Rachel Venables, who is far too modest to make this point herself.

But it is due originally and entirely to her work that the government is taking action upon cladding.

Whether or not that action is enough, we will explore a little later in the program.

But make no mistake.

The reason why Rachel is a journalist, as opposed to a presenter, is that she has what you might call a normal ego.

She's not possessed of absurd powers of self-promotion and incredibly inflated sense of her own gifts and abilities, which is what you need, with a couple of glorious exceptions.

You generally need to have an absurdly overinflated ego to be on this side of the newsroom.

Rachel doesn't have that, which is why I will blow her trumpet for her and tell you that

without her journalism, this would not be happening. Every single person in the country

caught up in this cladding claw hammer, this cladding pincer movement. It's appalling injustice visited upon them has Rachel

Venables to thank for any improvements to their lives and situations that emerge as a result of

the government's announcement later today. So we will quite rightly be having a proper look at that.

And a couple of other things as well. But I love this story.
