You can't account for anything in wrestling, and you can be the best in the world when WWE rings you up, signs you, and then tells you you're gonna have to be man-tar.

Number 10, Mankind Thrives, despite the gimmick. So this ties right into the intro. When Mick Foley got signed by WWE, he was presented with Mason the Mutilator, complete with ridiculous costume and mask.

So utterly ridiculous, even Foley knew this was not good, who the hell was gonna make this work.

It was very much of the time, as in the mid-90s, the WWF was obsessed with job-related gimmicks, and because we'd never had a mutilator before, well, we'd better change that ASAP.

Because Mick is a smart cat, though, he didn't want to just say no. He found a compromise. He would happily wear the head gear, but just wanted to be called Mankind.

As soon as he got his own creative brain into it too, you know what happened. He added so many layers to this gimmick. He became the World Heavyweight Champion. It's quite the success story.

The real turning point was those series of interviews he did with Jim Ross, where Mankind bared his soul, using Foley's real-life story, and when Mick Man saw this, his eyes lit up too.

Mick Foley became one of his guys. So really, we should all learn from this. Stay calm, have an alternative, and then go out there and smash it.

Because Lynch reacted to blood all over her face like such a badass. Even though she wasn't cleared to wrestle, she just became the best.

Nobody was as cool and edgy, plus she used her social media game to ruin people. This was the guy.

It also gave birth to the man character which was super cool, and by the time she got the green light to go, forget about it.

It's why she was part of the first women to ever main event WrestleMania the following year. Without her,

I don't think it happens. Becky was just so ridiculously popular and deservedly so.

She totally earned this spot, and it all clicked, when she got smacked for real.
