Hello from CNN, I'm Afoma Dikay with the five things you need to know for Thursday, October 25th.

It's been more than 24 hours since a gunman carried out a shooting rampage in Lewiston,

Maine, killing at least 18 people and injuring others.

Authorities are currently surrounding the suspect's last known address in Bowden,

but it's not clear he's in the house.

He's wanted for multiple counts of murder,

for the shootings at a bowling alley and a restaurant.

Today investigators recovered a gun while searching an abandoned car connected to him.

In law enforcement sources say investigators are pursuing a theory that the 40 year old suspect recently broke up with

this longtime girlfriend and may have targeted places they used to go together.

Some of the victims are starting to be identified including 53 year old Asselin, who was killed at the bowling alley.

Her sister Bobby Nichols managed to survive the shooting.

We heard a loud noise, and I wasn't sure what it was, till I heard another shot and I knew I couldn't see her and everybody was running and I got caught in people trampling and running out there There was shots fired outside the building after.

I just ran to as far as I could go and a bunch of us were just hiding behind the trees and

when the cops showed up. We were coming out of the woods and I kept asking where's my sister. She's in there.

Nichols said her sister died while trying to call 911 to save people.

The Israeli military says it'll continue ground raids into Gaza in the coming days,
