October 13th. The United States, make no mistake about it, stands with Israel.

President Joe Biden said the U.S. is continuing to support Israel against the terrorist group Hamas, which he called pure evil,

but also said he's urgently addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

We can't lose sight of the fact that the overwhelming majority of Palestinians had nothing

to do with Hamas and Hamas of appalling attacks and're suffering as a result as well.

Israel stops the flow of food, water, fuel and electricity into Gaza while bombarding it

and is warning 1.1 million people to evacuate their homes ahead of a possible ground

invasion and ordered the UN called Impossible. When Biden was asked what worried

him about a ground invasion he had one word, death. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said at least

1900 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza from Israeli strikes, including more

than 600 children. Israeli officials said at least 1,300 people were killed by Hamas in Israel.

The Israeli military also believes Hamas has at least 120 hostages and has notified the

families. Biden said he spoke with the families of Americans who remain unaccounted for today.

The White House believes less than a handful of them are being held hostage.

The State Department said more than 20,000 U.S. citizens have reached out about the war, but it's not clear how many were people trying to get out of Israel.

The BBC says a group of its journalists covering Israel's war with Hamas were held at gunpoint and

assaulted by Israeli police in Tel Aviv. The British news network

says the incident happened Thursday night as the group drove to their hotel in a

vehicle the BBC says was clearly marked as media. The network says the team

was quote dragged from their vehicle, searched and pushed up against a wall during the

stop. An Israeli police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
