Summary

Elric and Brian do their version of a "Top 10" films of 2018 list - but in the PCP way, it's "10 films Because" (each) and not a regular top 10. Also discussed, a recent outing to the New Beverly for a Christmas-themed double bill and some "Let's Get Physical" Blu-ray picks.

0:44.2

our 10 films because 2018. Not top 10 necessarily, even though I think it is an approximate

0:53.6

of a top 10.

0:54.7

But we can get into, we can discuss the, uh, finer issues of that later.

0:58.6

But, uh, but first, uh, we saw three movies together on Sunday.

1:05.1

It was Christmas Eve Eve, the Eve of Christmas Eve.

1:08.7

Uh, and we were always going to be going to a great Christmas crime double at the new Bev that

1:14.4

was kind of in the cards.

1:15.6

And a couple days before, because last year we had ended the year at a screening of the

1:20.2

Phantom Thread together.

1:21.4

And that film ended up topping both of our lists and being, you know, a major film for

1:26.2

both of us.

1:26.7

So I thought it would be really fun if we could,

1:29.0

you know, fit in one more movie. And there was just this movie that I'd heard a lot about. I didn't

1:33.3

realize there would be any kind of Christmas connection, but turns out it's all set in winter,
