Welcome back to the audible I am Bruce Feldman joined as always by Stuart Mandel.

Stu, as we were talking, it's Sunday night while we're taping. I have yet to make it

home from my game.

My game was a early afternoon game.

We had T.C.U. and West Virginia,

and because it was an earlier game,

I had to leave my hotel room around 1030 or 11 central time so I missed

college game day and or I missed parts of college game day and I came back and I'm

playing catch-up and I'm trying to figure out this bizarre controversy

slash subplot has unfolded involving Chris Peterson and ESPN please tell me what the hell is going on.

Well, you know, since I'm on Pacific time, I don't often catch very much of Game Day, but if I can get, you know, get not just myself, but my daughter and everybody going in time,

you know, I might catch a little bit of it before the 9 a.m. Pacific Games start.

So I just happen to turn it on right as they were talking about this topic of showing the sound bite of Chris Peterson, apologizing to his fans for all the late starts and lamenting the fact that people aren't going

to be watching it on the East Coast.

And I'm thinking, wait a minute, they're really going to talk about this on ESPN.

You know, ESPN's a pretty

involved party in this whole discussion. Not only they talk about it, Kirk Street
