Today we're talking about a new analyst initiating coverage on Tesla.

Tesla stock yesterday with another strong day, closing up 1.97% to $355.1.1% this compared to the NASDAQ up 0.04%. Supercharger network update, we are currently

at 1,012 supercharging locations. We added two stations, one in China and one in Quebec.

Okay, in the news yesterday, we saw a new analyst initiate coverage on Tesla.

This is Ramit Shah from Nomeura Group.

Shah has started Tesla out at a buy, with a price target of $500, which is actually the highest price target of any of the analysts that are covering Tesla.

When an analyst initiates coverage like this, it does tend to have a pretty big impact on the stock, so I do think that this was one of the big parts of

Tesla's 2% increase yesterday and I'm always happy to see a more bullish analyst kind of

of join the party because oftentimes their their forecasts for Tesla's growth are more aligned with my own.

So I can look a little bit more in detail at their forecasts and compare that for to kind of level

set my own forecasts and level set my own price targets.

So I'm happy to see this and I wanted to dig into a little bit of what Nomeura is saying on Tesla.

As I mentioned in the past, these Annals reports are generally just given to the investors

that invest within that company.

So I do not have access to the full report from Shaw on this, but we do have some information

from the media, and Ramit actually did an interview with

CNBC so a little bit of information came from that as well.

So I'll start off with his projections.

He's first projecting Tesla to deliver 112,000 vehicles in 2017, so that would be in line

with Tesla's guidance of 100,000 Model S and X, and then that would imply deliveries of about 12,000 Model 3s. of
