In our study in 1st Samuel we have come to a turning point in the nation of Israel.

In chapter 8 we see the people of Israel demanding a king.

This is not God's plan because he was their king, but the people are quite insistent.

We began this story on our last program and saw that part of

Israel's excuse for demanding a king was that Samuel was getting old and his sons

were corrupt. When Israel demanded that Samuel
