hosted by me, Oliver G, and usually, and I mean usually as in for the past four years every single

Monday, this weekly show features a 30-minute interview with an interesting person who tells

their Paris story. But these aren't usual times. In fact, if you're hearing these words,

that means that I've already taken parental leave, which I wish I could say it's because the baby

is already born, but it's not. It'll be any minute, any second now. But I decided that instead of

scrambling around trying to interview people in these important

days and weeks, I'd rather focus on our little family. So what you're about to hear instead is

chapter one of my 2020 memoir, Paris on air. For the first time on this podcast, I'm going to share

my Paris story. Now, if you never heard me talking about this book before, and I bet you have,

this is all about my first five years in Paris. It's how I learned to fit into France, found love, got

married, and went on a mammoth honeymoon trip around France on a little red scooter. Now,

if you're sitting there and you're thinking, ah, I'm not an audiobook person.

Should I really listen?
