Here are my reactions to getting 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and probably 1 million+ on audio platforms too!

Listen to me rambling on my own and with my daughter (6 years old now) while the subscriber number gradually goes up, and eventually reaches this big milestone.

0:00.0	Hello audio listeners and welcome to this new episode. This one is sort of a bonus episode really. It doesn't have a number.
0:07.0	And I think you can see from the title what this episode is about, because yesterday I got to a million subscribers on YouTube,
0:15.0	which is a pretty cool milestone which is worth marking in some way.
0:21.0	And basically in this episode, I decided that I would try to record my
0:26.9	reactions to the moment when the number changed from 999999-999, which is 999,999,999, to a million.
0:38.6	Because YouTube allows you to see the number, a kind of a live update of the number. The number goes up and down.
0:44.8	Anyway you'll hear me talking about that and I talk with my daughter a little bit at the
0:50.0	dinner table. There's a bit of rambling basically about all of that stuff and but I just
0:55.2	wanted to say here only in the audio version that despite the fact that I've somehow
1:02.2	managed to get all these subscribers on YouTube and it seems my
1:05.5	YouTube channel is is pretty popular. I still consider the audio podcast to be the
1:11.3	sort of home of Luke's English podcast really because this has always been an audio show from the very beginning really 15 years ago when I first started and
1:21.0	audio listeners I think that there must be over a million of you
1:26.7	subscribing to the audio podcast I'm pretty sure there are more audio listeners than
1:31.9	video listeners it's actually a little bit harder to tell
1:35.8	exactly how many subscribers there are to Luke's English podcast, The Audio Version, because people subscribe to the audio version on various
1:45.0	platforms. You know there's the big ones like Apple Podcasts and Spotify but also
1:51.6	other podcast services like Pocketcasts or Google Podcasts,
1:57.0	Audible even, and various other ways in which basically people like you I suppose can subscribe to the audio version of this show
2:06.1	and that makes it a little bit harder for me to track exactly how many subscribers I have to the
2:11.0	audio show but I'm certain that I have more than a
2:15.7	million now so it's just it was a little harder for me to find a specific moment when I went when I crossed that line and got to a
