Chad, we are in chapter 13 of first kings. So old, we've had two kings now, we've got two kings, we had double kings going on neither of them are great and they're both

doing things that they really shouldn't have done yeah we were introduced to

Redbone first Solomon's son and of course he's just full of himself he's very he says oh you had about under my dad well you just wait so we now we have a like you say two kings we have a division of the kingdom and we've already

heard in the last episode about what Gerboam was up to and he certainly is

causing problems for not just himself but for his entire kingdom in fact this is going to be basically

the the terrible legacy that he leaves to all those who come after him I was looking

this morning I think there were 15 different kings who were described in the

Northern Kingdom as walking in the way of Gerboam or walking in the sin of Gerboam

by which they meant that these guys basically perpetuated

the idolatry that Gerboam initiated. It wasn't just idolatry, it wasn't just the golden

calves that he put in Dan and Bethel, but as we talked about in last episode,
