we're all switching gears offseason conversations are always different always always much more big picture stuff,

but also offseason allows for a different ending to the show,

such as one that includes bets on basketball and upcoming baseball and starting pitchers and hockey results.

We won't call it the Red Russians anymore for obvious reasons,

but we could conjure up another name for the drink.

And I think we've got enough meat and potatoes there from the hockey season up to this point

to know what teams are or are not. Yeah, in which way some of them are trending. Right now, one thing,

for example, that you could be looking at is Nashville team total overs over the next five games.

Chances are you're going to win three of them because they're a bottom dweller,

but they're starting to score goals and bunches now. Case and point, the other night they were losing to San Jose 5 to 1 and rattled off five consecutive goals to take the lead in that game.

I'm being dead and buried in the lead. Two of their stars are scoring a bunch more right now, Stamcoast and Marches. So yeah, a little observations like that I'm picking up on. I'm starting to get into the flow here.

What you're going to find is this is going to be a tough one to pick winners.

You're probably going to want to play totals more because this Eastern conference is really bunched up.

This is as bunched up as I can remember the NHL standings being at this point.
