His book Flight of the Eagle tells the story of America's success over 200 nearly 250 years.

There's always something new to add to the American story and that would be the endeavor these last days of members of the legal community in Manhattan, the district attorney, to move to indict a former president of the United States.

In what appears to be the election cycle influencing the decision of the American people, but that's next year.

I go to your most recent column in the national post that takes us back to 1972, 1973, and what became the resignation of Richard Nixon, who was overwhelmingly reelected in the fall of 1972.

And yet in 1974 left his post right now your measure of the way that the Democratic Party campaigned or in some fashion constructed a campaign against Richard Nixon.

Was it based on the idea that he committed a crime and what crime was that good evening to you?
