G. Chang. And we're very pleased to welcome our colleague Bruce Bechtel, the

author of North Korean military proliferation in the Middle East and Africa enabling

violence and instability. Bruce published this book some seven or eight years

ago. It anticipates where we are right now in the Gaza war, in the conflict with Hezbollah

in the north of Israel and in fact across the Middle East

the Huthies firing cruise missiles ballistic missiles into the Red Sea

the Iranians firing cruise missiles, ballistic missiles into Syria, Iraq, and now Pakistan.

These missiles have an origin date and it's not impossible to say North Korea is the grandfather of all of this

violence.

Bruce, a very welcome to you. Your comments are most important here. You have a new book coming in about six months with your colleague Anthony Selso,

rogue allies, the strategic partnership between Iran and North Korea.

Iran is the factory for the Houthi missiles, we're told.

Iran is the origin of the missiles that are in the control of Hezbollah in the north of Israel in Lebanon.

The Iranian missile program derives from, is borrowed from, was developed by North Korea how to say this correctly good

evening to you Bruce good evening John and good evening Gordon yes most of the especially liquid fuel missiles that Iran has they

got from North Korea. And in fact, what that means is, when we're talking the relationship between North Korea and

Iran, you now see SCEs being manufactured in Iran. You see what they call the Emod, which is their version of the Nodong being manufactured in Iran.

And we see the Karamshar and we see SLVs which are satellite launch vehicles all of which have

North Korean components in them. The Iranians claim that these missiles are

indigenously produced, but they cannot be produced without North Korean
