The president was returning from a dedication ceremony in

northwest Iran, East Azerbaijan. There are two Azerbaijan provinces in northwest Iran, not to be confused with the sovereign state of Azerbaijan right across

the border. There have been trouble in the Azerbaijan's part of Iran for some time now protests.

But that is also true for other ethnic regions of Iran not significant.
