John Chapter 19

verse 30

when Jesus had received the sour wine

he said it is finished and he bowed his head and gave up his

spirit. These are Jesus' last words in the Gospel of John before he dies on the cross. Three words, three potent words.

It is finished.

Like, what does John 316 tell us? God so love the world that he gave his one and only son. He sent his one and only son, he gave his son, to die on a cross for our sins, for your sins, for my sins.

And Jesus gets to the end, he is hanging on a cross, enduring the judgment that you and I deserve for our sins, the death we deserve to die.

And he says, it is finished.

And he bows his head and gives up his spirit.

He dies for you and me, and he says, that that's it I've paid the price for you.

He paid the price for me. He paid the price for

revelation 5 9 and 10 says for men and women for every nation, tribe, and

tongue it's finished.

He's paid the price for our sins.

So we pray Jesus, all glory be to your name for finishing what the Father

sent you to do. We praise you today for dying on the cross for our sins and we will praise you

tomorrow for dying on the cross for our sins and the next day and the next day and for

all of eternity we will praise you for dying on the cross for our sins for saving us from our sins for saving us from eternal everlasting suffering and death in hell.
