The Chevy Silverado gets its 20-25 lineup with a new LT trim, starting at $75,195. And there's also new trims, including the work truck, a standard range

work truck starting at $57,000. That's pretty comparable against Ford's Lightning Pro Work version.

But I think the headline number here is that the extended range,

big battery work truck, now gets 492 miles of EPA range. That's 792 kilometers on a truck.

Okay, it's a $77,000 vehicle on a work truck spec. But 500 miles of range isn't that much when you start

to carrying a payload or towing or elevation. I get used up pretty quickly in working

today. North Volt, the European cell maker that's been a great hope for Europe to have a domestic

battery making industry, has filed for bankruptcy for one of their subsidiaries.

Now, they're pointing out today that it was a legal entity set up to manage the expansion

of its gigafactory in northern Sweden, which has now been

cancelled, and so they're folding that company and saying that it's not related to any

wider problems at the parent company, North Vault. However, clearly, there is a bit of a cash

crunch going on there, and we watch the situation closely. Fisker was in

disarray at the end of that project and, you know, I always feel for the owners of those vehicles.

If they're perfectly happy, that's fine. But some people feel like they've been let down.

Well, now reports coming out from the landlord of their building, which says they went to take the building back and there's debris, there's hazardous materials, there's entire battery packs left behind.

Now, while you and I might say, I wouldn't mind a free Fisca battery pack, you know, you can drop one off to my garage if you want to.
