The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York announced early Tuesday that charges of fraud and corruption have been brought against four current college basketball assistant coaches. Managers, financial advisers and representatives of a major sportswear company have also been charged with federal crimes in a scandal that has rocked the sport. So, yeah, it was a crazy day. 0:16.4	I got Mad Noir in here with me and I'll be honest, we did not expect the recording
0:20.1	podcast this hour or even on this day, but circumstances has forced us into this position
0:24.8	as I'm sure you know.
0:27.6	The US Attorney in the state of New York announced early Tuesday that 10 people had been arrested
0:34.7	and charged with federal crimes connected to college basketball.
0:37.8	Four of them are current college basketball assistants at Power Five programs, namely Oklahoma
0:42.5	States, Salamon Evans, Auburn's truck person, Arizona's book rich and a USC's Tony Bland.
0:50.2	An agent is also facing federal charges, a shoe company executive is also facing federal charges.
0:57.8	And essentially what the case has done is expose the underbelly of college basketball recruiting.

1:32.1	And one of the things people tend to ask you is, were you surprised by this?
1:36.9	And my answer is yes and no.
1:39.0	And to the extent that I'm surprised, it would be that I didn't wake up on Tuesday expecting to be dealing with all of this.
1:44.8	Like one of the biggest days in the history of college basketball as it relates to scandals, that is what September 26, 2017 has become.
