Today we're talking about short interest, what it is and how it affects Tesla stock price.

Tesla stock yesterday closed down 1.99% to $366.48 this compared to the NASDAQ down 0.52%.

Supercharger network update, we are still at 967 supercharging locations.

Given the lack of news today, I thought I would cover a topic

that a listener had asked about, which is shorting a stock

and kind of what it means and how it impacts the stock.

So I'm going to go into a little detail on that today.

Before we do that, though, I did want to talk about the only little tiny bit of news that we saw yesterday.

A.M.D. has denied that they are working with Tesla on a system on a chip for Tesla's autopilot and autonomous driving technology.

The CEO of AMD saying that, basically he was saying

that companies like Apple, Google, and Tesla are examples of types of businesses

that are showing interest in working with AMD to develop chips and things like that for

their product lines, but the Tesla is not officially working with AMD yet.

Despite that though, I do think that Tesla probably has a lot of interest in still developing

their own chips, so I think that we probably have not heard the last of this.

But for now, the rumors have been denied.

Okay, so short interest and what that means for the stock.
