All right, this is Gary Parrish, again from CVS Sports, and it is, you know, Thursday,

September 10th, and this is the I on college basketball podcast.

And I promised, you know, last week that I'd start doing a new episode every week, the

rest of the preseason, regardless of whether there was much new to talk about.

The holiday combined with my travel schedule pushed it later into the week that I had hoped,

but I'm here now, and I'm joined by my colleagues, Matt Norlander and Sam Bacini.

And it has been a pretty quiet week in the sport other than, I guess, Michigan announcing

Zach Irving, who was a double-digit score.

It's going to be sideline for a while after a back procedure.

We're going to get to that in a bit.

But let's start, if you don't mind, with the big development that come, and that's that

Kentucky Coach, John Calipari, will be inducted into the Naismith basketball hall of fame

on Friday night.

He's going to give us six active coaches, college basketball coaches in the hall of fame.

They are Mike Chishaps, Uroi Williams, Rick Patino, Larry Brown, Jim Beheim, and then, of

course, John Calipari.

So let me start with you, Norlander.

What does Calipari, getting into the hall of fame, mean for him, and what does it mean

for Kentucky?
