This is Handel on the Law, marginal legal advice where I tell you you have absolutely no case.

Now, as you would think it happens, of course this happens, there is a lawsuit that's been filed against DoorDash.

And it is by, it's on behalf of the wife and a son of Bing Wang, who is a 51-year-old Chinese National

that was hit and killed here in Los Angeles, actually.

And so it was the driver of a Hyundai sedan, hops the curb, hits the family on the sidewalk,

and it turns out the Hyundai sedan was driven by someone who was driving for DoorDash, making a delivery, and, of course,

you would instantly think, surprise this lawsuit hasn't been filed before, because DoorDash has

been in Dordash, has been in business for a while and uh the the real big issue here is uh is it the driver that's

responsible uh is door dash responsible because he's the driver is driving for door dash now with

dorjazz is saying this is a 1099 employee, which means they're on their own.

We just hire them.

And they can come.

There's a bunch of rules that say they're not employees.

And the courts have been pretty good on the side of these gig economy companies.

And I know.

This reminds me of Domino's pizza. Domino's pizza,

when I still think the drivers work for Domino's themselves. They're employees of Domino's.

And the drivers, it used to be when Domino's first opened, they guaranteed a pizza delivered in 30 minutes or less.

And, or you get a free pizza.

And obviously, there was a lot of pressure on the drivers to make sure they deliver the pizzas within 30 minutes.

I mean, obviously, inside the store, they had to make pizzas very quickly, and then throw them in a driver's car, and then, off they go.

Guaranteed 30 minutes, and as you would think, these drivers were going, I mean, just like bats out of hell.
