M word and that is marriage and who better to do this with than the executive director of the Marriage Foundation here in the UK and this is Michael Le Hyde welcome to the show

about why don't you tell the listeners a little bit about who you are and what

you do? Sure yes so as you said I'm the executive director of Marit Foundation. It's a UK charity, it's

started in 2012 and it's a really interesting story actually I wasn't there at the beginning I heard

about it later on and found myself getting involved but the story behind it is as a

high court judge Sir Paul Coleridge, who had been working in the family justice system

for 44 years and 15 of them as a high court judge.

And he'd been seeing the impact of family breakdown on on families time and

time again and seeing that actually some of the kids were the ones who were

the those most challenged by all and the ones who were really hurt by this whole

process and so he decided he wanted to and the ones who are really hurt by this whole process.

And so he decided he wanted to do something about this

and set up Marriage Foundation to really look at marriage
