All right, let's start with some really interesting news today about Nissan, a company with not much in their EV locker.

Despite being an early mover in EVs, the new CEO took over from an early believer in EVs, Carlos Gome. And yesterday, he said that they're going to cut 9,000 jobs, reduce production capacity, go more into hybrid versions of like the rogue. They will have an all-electric sedan by the early 2030s, but there's a company

with not much EV. They're the third biggest Japanese carmaker, not much EV in their lineup,

and they're facing some real financial losses. A recall of the Chevy Bolt and EUV got my attention,

and then I realize it's for 107 units,

so panic not.

If you see the headlines as well, it's just to have that diagnostic software sorted.

I want to reassure you on that.

Over here in Europe, Ford begin battery production at their Kriova plant.

That's in Romania, by the way, one of the largest cities in Romania.

It's Ford Otteran is their subsidiary. They're going to make electric versions of the transit

courier, the Tornayo Courier, and the Puma Gen E as well. MG surpassed Tesla in Australia.

MG4 particularly had a bit of a stellar month down under. Last month in Australia, that's the

seventh consecutive month of decline for Tesla,

by the way. That's an interesting story that I'm just keeping on the back burner.

Ozzie's are falling out of love with Tesla for a bit, or just interested perhaps in what else

is out there. Mercedes-Benz, Sera, sedan is coming in 2025, and there will be an all-electric

version of that on the new 800-volt MMA architecture

with a two-speed electric transmission on that. Very interesting. About 460, 470 miles they're
