Summary

Jonas Knox and Geoff Schwartz get your Wednesday going with a fun training camp story about a prank that was pulled on Geoff. The fellas jump into the crazy news regarding Quenton Nelson of the Colts, who suffered the same exact injury as Carson Wentz. Dodger Stadium was lit last night, they discuss the cheating Astros, and even the SF Giants fan on the show thinks MLB dropped the ball by not punishing the Houston players. FOX Sports' Shannon Spake joins the show to talk about her upcoming NFL sideline schedule, NASCAR's final run to playoffs, and more. Plus, Dub came up with some Hall of Fame prop bets for the crew.

And everyone there will be less trash cans throwing this program that we saw a talker stadium last night. That is that's a plus. So we'll start off with that. Also, you know, we believe or not talked to each other before the show and talk about ideas and one of them was about camp pranks last night.

1:29.0

And a lot of giggles in bed thinking about all the things that I'm going to share with you guys today about the pranks that were done during training camp. It brought back a lot of memories. Good mostly good memories. Sometimes some some bad memories, but mostly good memories. Some excited to share those stories with you guys today. And we're often running on Wednesday.

1:48.0

You know, it's funny about this because I've had conversations with people about it. And I played high school football. So I didn't play junior college. I didn't play college. But even just at the high school level.

2:01.0

The environment and some of the comedy that was acceptable, acceptable in the high school football level. And in that locker room would not be acceptable anywhere else. Like it is, it's like it's old ecosystem. It's weird.

2:18.0

And you tell people some of these stories and they look at you like, wait, you did what? Like that's normal. It's normal for you to, you know, to do that to somebody that and it's something like over the top or something you got a jail for. But just weird behavior. David Anderson, former NFL wide receiver. Remember him telling me a story one time because he went to my high school. And he said that there was an offensive lineman on the Texans that used to eat his lunch while on the toilet.

2:47.0

And it's just like that was just for whatever reason. Acceptable. He said, you know what? Kill two birds with one stone. I got to be here. Anyways, maize will get my lunch and while I'm at it. And it's just it's weird behavior. When you think back and look on it.

3:01.0

Yeah, I mean, I can't explain the locker room to people. People always want inside access. Right. We see with hard knocks. So we see with with all or nothing on Amazon. You know that we get behind the scenes look into locker room. And then people get upset because things are sad or done the locker room that they don't approve of. And it's like, well, you're not in that situation. Right. The NFL locker room.

3:24.0

It's just much different and people talk much differently than they would talk otherwise. Right. And so we get that inside. Look, you don't like it. But this is kind of the convention ecosystem that we have in the locker room. And it does take some time.

3:37.0

When you're out of that environment to realize that's not how you can talk in whether it's you know, just for example, let's say I go to.

3:47.0

You know, Fox Sports Radio. I can't talk like that around everyone else. And then maybe I can't at sometimes you can't with me. I don't care part of it is to like is the is the cussing like that's been an issue where my kids I have to not.

4:02.0

I just watch my language in the locker room. You just there was no. And it's almost stuff that the guys talk about the locker room, even me. I'm like, that's a little much like we can we like we pull that back a little bit guys that that's not let's not talk about that. That's a little much.

4:16.0

But yeah, it's its own environment and the pranks have gotten less because I think it's just not. It's just not as acceptable. I don't think anymore is it was when I was very young as a rookie.

4:27.0

2008 9 and 10 and it's not done at the same level, but we had some we had some good ones, man. We had one. This lady can't print. Okay, so what we'll start with this one. We'll have a fun day of tunnel about Frank. So I am.

4:40.0

I got engaged to my wife who have been married. We married seven years now. And one day I come into the locker room after I got engaged.

4:51.0

And there were wedding invitations placed on everyone's seat in the locker room with my name on it. My wife's they made up they made up my wife's middle name, by the way.

5:03.0

And said my wedding was a temple Israel Los Angeles. I don't even know if it's a real temple in Israel, but I mean a real temple in Los Angeles. They spent a thousand dollars on real wedding invitations to put them on everyone's chair and put them on the coaches chairs to in their in their locker room.

5:19.0

So I get out to practice and a bunch of coaches come up to me during stretch. I'd like normally never talk to you like like the defense of backs coach or something, right? I would never talk to a guy.

5:29.0

And he's like, you know, he's like shorts. I appreciate the invite. I just can't make it though, but, but, but, but I'll send you a gift.

5:35.0

Like coach, these are not real invitations, man. Well, they're real. They are real, but they're just not like actual invites that you're coming to already. They put them on everyone's chairman.
