Today we're talking about gardening for wildlife, with the National Wildlife Federation.

And we're going to learn a lot more about some of the great work that they've been doing

for decades, that touches our lives directly every day.

Now I'm sure most of you have at least heard about the National Wildlife Federation, and

a lot of you are probably more than just a little familiar with them, including providing

support as part of your charitable giving.

But the NWF does so many important things around protecting wildlife, including pollinators

and butterflies, that I wanted to spend a good part of our conversation today on some

of that important work.

So likely their best-known program is Gardening for Wildlife, formerly known as their certified

backyard wildlife habitat program.

That's the one most of us know it by, but it lays out four primary steps needed to create

a wildlife-friendly habitat per the NWF guidelines.
