On February 12, 1809, Nancy Hanks Lincoln gave birth to her second child, a son that she and her husband Thomas Lincoln named

Abraham.

Abraham Lincoln grew up the son of a poor farmer and yet, as you know, he managed to get elected

as the 16th President of the United States.
