300,000 all-electric vehicles in the United States since 2016, but they've hit that big target now.

Over 300,000, bringing the total to 370,000 in North America.

Despite challenges, like recent production delays last year, GM has

emerged as the second largest EV manufacturer in the United States, trailing only Tesla, of course.

Back in the day, the Chevrolet Bolt began production in 2016, and it marked the start of GM's

electric vehicle sales success, at least of the modern era, if that makes sense. Tesla reached

the same sales figures in the US far more quickly, by the way, achieving it in about five years,

largely because of the popularity of cars like the Model S. By 2018, Tesla had delivered

250,000 vehicles benefiting from a much less crowded long-range EV market at the time.
