I got to be honest with you I did not think we're going to be talking about this subject today even though it's it's a year a year and about a month probably or maybe about just a year since the end of the the last dance or some like to call it closer to save the last dance, which was a bit more of a dramatic emotional movie.

But that's essentially what's happened here with the last dances it's become kind of dramatic kind of emotional we've got a lot of things playing out.

But but part of me too feels like we got to be careful here because I do feel like we need to tread lately Scotty Pippin.

There's something off yeah I'll just leave it at that there's something off about where he is currently at and even how he appeared or seemed during this interview.

Yeah I got a by the way I got a great Scotty Pippin story whenever you know we won't maybe won't use it here but a great Scotty Pippin story that I think you can relate to so I'll drop that little gem for you here later on in the program what do you say about that Brady Quinn have at that little Scott.

I always love that I always love a good Scotty Pippin story.

Well Scotty Pippin so here's here's how it goes the Dan Patrick show which you hear following this show on many of these Fox Sports radio affiliates and we are honored to be the undercard for the Dan Patrick show here Brady Quinn

and myself and Dan had an interview yesterday with Scotty Pippin Hall of Famer great career Chicago Bowl but Scotty Pippin feels like he's a little bit bitter about just sort of I think way how he was represented not only in the last dance but just maybe sort of how he's viewed historically

because he's always going to be looked at as the number two behind Michael Jordan I don't know that it was the most flattering depiction of Scotty Pippin's career in the last dance that everybody got to watch but he then started to discuss one of the most I guess this is probably the biggest knock on him during his career was refusing to go back in the game when Phil Jackson drew up a play for Tony Coocoach now Tony Coocoach ended up hitting the shot

but Scotty Pippin was upset and refused to go into the game and was bothered that Phil Jackson didn't trust him to hit the shot and went to Coocoach instead and so here was the full back and forth with Dan Patrick heard again on many of these Fox Sports radio affiliates after this show every single week day morning this was Scotty Pippin and Dan Patrick yesterday on the program

why would Tony who was a rookie get the last second shot and you put me on the balance that's what I mean racial like that was Scotty Pippin's team

but but it was on pace to be an MVP that year right yeah okay well why would you put him in a position not to be successful why wouldn't you put him in a position to succeed my

joint is not there so who's next in line for you but if you talk to Phil about this because by saying a racial move then you're you're calling Phil a racist I'm got a problem with that do you think Phil was or is oh yeah I mean do you remember

Phil Jackson left the Lakers went wrote a book on Kobe Bryant and then came back and coached him I mean who would do that you name someone in professional sports that would do that you know I think he got the exposed Kobe in a way that he shouldn't have you're the head coach

and you're the guy that sits in the locker room and tells the players this is a circle and everything stays within the circle because that's what team is about but you as the head coach open it up

and now you go out and you try to be little at that time probably one of the greatest players in the game

what feels like he's disloyal I don't know if that makes him a racist well that's your yeah way of putting it out and I have my way I was in the locker room we didn't I was in practice it's waiting you looking for him far

all right Brady Quinn lot to unpack there you know here's the hard thing to unpack is I can't speak to what Scotty Pippen experienced or you know any other player for that matter with Phil Jackson in the locker room behind closed doors I can't
