What's up, everyone? Welcome back to another episode of The Maximized Minimalist. It's me,

Katie Wells, hanging out with you yet again. And someone recently asked me, how do I decide when it's time to let go of the sentimental

keepsakes and memories?

And one thing that really stood out to me was that was how the question was framed.

and memories? Did you hear it that time? So often when we decide to part with these more

sentimental items that we have in our home, it can feel like we're parting with the memory too.

But hear me out, we are never parting with the memory. And I totally get it.

Oftentimes when we open that box, we haven't opened in a long time. And we see those items.

It sparks these memories and that makes us feel sentimental. And sentimental by definition

really describes a person who relies on emotions more than reason.

And so these emotions that come from the memories, they make us emotional, right?

And they create these feelings like nostalgia, sometimes peace, even sadness. And sometimes I'm thinking of
