Well, here's the case locally to me, the LA Dodgers.

They're being sued, and this was a huge story about a poor guy who is in the stadium parking lot after a game,

and he was beaten so badly he was almost killed.

And the family is suing the stadium security, alleging all kinds of lax security, there weren't enough security officers, there weren't enough cameras, there wasn't enough lighting, all of this.

I mean, it's obviously a legitimate case.

The one thing that is interesting about this is the wife of the victim is suing the Dodgers and she is alleging that she has

been emotionally destroyed. She's been emotionally damaged and suing for emotional distress.

And what the Dodgers have said is, and this people are getting a little bit of uproar over this, is, hey, okay, you say you are emotionally distressed, but you have to come up with some kind of proof.

You just can't say it.

You need proof.

And therein lies an issue of, and I say this all the time, that whenever you bring an allegation and people

ask me all the time, well, I've been in a car accident or I've been injured and I'm emotionally

distressed, they go, how do you prove that? Of course you have been, but you have to bring

objective proof. Well, how do I do that? You need a psychologist who you have dealt with to talk about the emotional distress, to put in

scientific terms, understandable scientific terms, how that incident caused your distress and to what

extent you are damaged.

That's proof, simply alleging something that is obvious.

I saw my husband being literally kicked almost to death.

I mean, that's pretty serious stuff.

Therefore, I'm damaged.

Well, of course you're damaged.
