This is Courtney Sanders here with another episode of the Think and Grow Chip podcast.

And today we're talking about a word you probably don't like to hear, but might be hearing

more often than you'd like. And that is the word no, namely why they said no, the do's and don'ts

of getting others to work with you. This is so important because no man is an island. All of us are where we are today because in some respects we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us.

I don't know any success story that doesn't have some element of this person looked out for me, this person opened a door,

this person was really helpful and hugely beneficial.

So having a network, having a support system is really helpful. However, I'm finding that a lot of

people are going about it the wrong way. And to be honest, I've been on the negative end of the stick in that lately, I've been receiving a lot of requests from people to help them do things or to promote their product or whatever.

And I don't know them.

We don't have a relationship.

They're not letting me know what's in it for me, nothing.

It's just strictly cold email, hey, this is what I got going on.

Can you promote it on all your social media and your email list?
