Alright, this is Gary Pearce from CBS Sports.com. It's got Wednesday, April 29th, and this

is the ION College Basketball Podcast. But a while since we've chatted, and there will

be no normal schedule to this podcast in this part of the offseason. I don't think, because

not a lot of stuff happens in College Basketball in this part of the offseason, specifically after

the coaching carousel slows down in the deadline for early entry to the NBA draft has passed.

But there is some stuff actually happening right now, so here I am, and I'm joined by

Matt Norlander and Sam Pasini, and we've got a lot of stuff we're going to talk about,

but I think we should start with what qualifies as the big news of the day, certainly in

College Basketball, probably in the NBA, even though the playoffs are going on, and that's

that Oklahoma City has centered its coaching search on Florida Coach Billy Donovan.

Kinberger from CBS Sports.com reported last week, really within hours of Scott Brooks

being fired, that all signs pointed toward Oklahoma City, making an offer to Billy Donovan.

Mark Stein at ESPN reported early Wednesday morning that there have been formal conversations

between the two sides.

Adrian Wojłynowski and Pat Fordy, Yahoo reported subsequent to that, that Sam Presti, the

general manager at Oklahoma City, was preparing an offer, and I have reported that multiple

sources have told me that the most likely scenario at this point is that Billy Donovan

will be the next coach of Oklahoma City, and the reasons are many, but I think simply

put, it comes down to the timing is perfect.

There was a time where I'm told Billy's wife wasn't enthusiastic about him maybe moving

to the NBA, but that time has passed, and she, I don't want to say that she prefers it,

because I honestly don't know that, but I know she's okay with it now, that she would
