Summary

Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander discuss Grayson Allen's decision to come back to Duke for his senior season. Is it the right call? What were the factors that dictated his choice? They also argue that Nigel Williams-Goss absolutely made the right decision in leaving Gonzaga, then take the NCAA to task for being hypocritical in doubling back on the stance to have postseason events in the state of North Carolina. Hey there, it's Gary Parrish. It's Wednesday, April 19th. Welcome back to the Iron

0:19.2

Countless Basketball Park. I got Mad Norlander here with me and a lot has happened since

0:22.7

we last talked Jordan Bell. Is entering the NBA draft with an agent. He announced that

0:27.8

on Twitter, so Oregon's losing Dylan Brooks, Tyler Dorsey, Jordan Bell, early to the

0:32.4

NBA draft, plus Chris Boucher, plus Dylan Innis, a little bit of a rebuild situation for

0:37.1

Dana Altman at Oregon. Meantime Nigel Williams-Goss is announced that he is also entering the NBA

0:42.2

draft. He will have representation. His college career is over. Tough news for Gonzaga. But

0:47.2

sensible decision for Nigel Williams-Goss will get into that a little later on. But let's

0:59.2

And that's that Grayson Allen is going to return to Duke for his senior year. He announced

1:25.5

with the important figures in the sport. Everybody knows the coaches. But on a year-to-year

1:30.6

basis, unlike any other sport in America, mainstream sport in America, the turnover among

1:39.6

the elite players is so rapid that you don't, the casual sports fan doesn't know who's

1:45.5

who. Like if I put together a preseason all-American team right now, there would be somebody

1:50.0

on it who like my buddies who are sports fans don't know anything about. And the reason

1:55.4

is because in college basketball, the best players tend to be gone shortly after they

2:00.6

establish themselves as the best players. Meanwhile, Grayson Allen is super famous. Like

2:06.3

you don't have to be a college basketball fan to know who he is. And it's not all because
