I, as always, am Andrew Swartz.

And this episode is called Scientific Tattooing, but there's a little more to it than that.

I just needed a snappy name, so that ended up being it.

We've got two different conversations that you're going to hear today.

And one is Scientific.

I'm going to be talking to tattooer Hannah Wolfe, who works in the Bay Area,

and she has been working diligently on a project, a book, called The Science of Tattooing.

And it really breaks down and goes very in-depth into tattoo inks and pigments

and why people have reactions to them and why they affect people in certain ways or don't.

And we had a really interesting conversation about that. And I felt like I know nothing about

anything in the world talking to her because she knows a lot of stuff. So we'll get into that.

But first, I also got a chance to talk to tattooer Billy White, who works in Zanesville, Ohio,

and he has been working on an interesting project in his own right.
