Baseball season, which begins two weeks from today, believe it or not, that is opening day.

Two weeks from today, the New York Yankees are playing a game at Yankee Stadium.

Two weeks from today, the New York Mets are in Houston against the Astros.

We have gotten to the point of spring training where even I, as a baseball geek, says enough.

Get me the real stuff.

I'm just done.

But stop with the freaking injuries.

Because every other day there is something.

Now, I haven't heard an update.

Maybe you guys have, but Oswaldo Cabrera of the New York Yankees was scratched from the starting lineup.

Yeah, maybe twisted a pinky. A pinky? Yeah. Well, Jeff McNeil, who I know is not on everyone's

love list right now as Met fans, but Jeff McNeil, as revealed by Carlos Mendoza earlier today,

has an oblique. Now, luckily for him, it's a low-grade oblique injury. And the way

Mendey labeled it is, he's not going to do anything for seven to ten days. He's just going to rest.

Then they'll reevaluate. And if it's a good evaluation, he can start doing baseball activities

again. And he could potentially come back pretty quickly in the two to four-week window,

but in the seven to ten days,

he is not feeling better. He doesn't resume baseball activities. This could take longer.
