My name is Rob Mower and I've only got a little bit of time today, but we've got a lot to cover,

so we're just going to hop right in.

Tesla stock today on Thursday closed down 3.54% to $330.93 cents, this compared to the NASDAQ down 1.27%.

This performance was in line with Ford and GM stock. Ford was down 3.02% and GM was down

3.96%. This pricing action is most likely due to the President's

proposed 25% import tariff on steel and 10% import tariff on aluminum.

This would undoubtedly impact all

automakers. I do not know the degree to which Tesla specifically would be

impacted so I will have to follow up on that as I have more details. But at this point

the tariffs are not finalized. Trump said,

quote, we'll be signing it next week and you'll have protection for a long time

and a while. At this time, it does not appear that any country would receive an

exception for these import tariffs.

I do believe the tariffs were the main reason for the stock price following today.

However, I do also think that the inside EVs estimates for model three deliveries in February

may have also had an impact.

As a reminder and as a caveat, inside EVs does not tend to have much more inside information

than anybody else putting together any estimates, but I do find their estimates generally to be pretty reasonable.

For February they have estimated that Tesla delivered 2,485 model 3s.
