In the first episode that you recorded with Nick Campbell, one of the things that he talks about is work flexibility,

0:06.5

people working from home or working from shared space,

0:11.2

and people kind of setting their own hours.

0:15.6

I've heard a lot about this like over the past couple of years,

0:18.8

but I feel like it's something that's only been

0:21.1

sort of like experimented with here and there and Nick seems to be

0:26.4

pretty successful with it. I was wondering what your opinion about it was but I

0:31.3

also want to preface before I say this. Like, for me personally, I've always

0:37.0

been interested in this, being able to either work from home or kind of set your own schedule. but what I've noticed about myself is that like

0:52.0

work at a certain time and the work ends at a certain time

1:33.0

And everything is set up exactly the way I want,

1:36.0

and I can get a lot more work done

1:38.0

because I'm not compelled to go and say talk to you about an edit or follow up or give

1:45.8

somebody else some direction or something like that and I'm constantly

1:48.6

being interrupted all day long and that's just part of being a manager, that people, your teams need direction and they need feedback so they can continue moving forward.

2:00.0

And when I'm at home, none of that happens and I'm not tempted to go, because it's impossible to walk down the hallway and tell Jamie, hey, good job on this and I need this done by Thursday or whatever it is.
